Always Use a Professional

Updated: Dec 3, 2023

Your wedding day is a magical chapter in your love story, and capturing those precious moments requires the expertise of a professional photographer. Please, whether you use me or a different professional, this is not the time to take a chance on your uncle's second cousin who's assured you that (s)he can take pictures with a smartphone just as well as a professional with a real camera (or two) would take.

In this post, we explore the significance of investing in a skilled wedding photographer, showcasing how their experience ensures every emotion and detail is immortalized. From the intimate glances to the grand celebrations, discover why professional wedding photography is an investment that lasts a lifetime.

A million years ago I worked for a company that sold tools to contractors. It was a terrible job but one saying stuck with me: Good tools aren't cheap and cheap tools aren't good.

A professional photographer won't be as inexpensive as the relative with a smart phone but these pictures are meant to be meaningful and "forever." You want them to be professionally printed and made to share with your children and grandchildren (or if you aren't having kids for your nieces and grandnephews).

That said, you can work with a pro that knows how to keep the costs in line with your budget (call for details).

One of the other advantages of using someone with professional experience is that they know how to "catch" the glimpses you cast towards one another without having to stop you and asking you to repeat the look that stemmed from emotion and may not be repeatable. And a pro can also bring out the personality of you and your guests.

It may not be true that a picture is worth 10,000 words, but a series of high-quality pictures is absolutely worth a few bucks.
